Quality Assurance

The school has a long, successful series of outstanding Ofsted reports for its education and care provision. However, it is important to us that we know how to improve where we can and to plan for the future using information from other sources, particularly from people we work the closest with.

As part of this every pupil has a link worker they can talk to at any time and senior managers encourage pupils to visit and share their experiences.

The school Forum meets once a half term and includes pupils, a school counsellor, and a range of managers from across the school to discuss any issues or concerns. Additionally parents and carers are asked to complete a questionnaire once a year, while pupils complete their own questionnaires so that we can gather their views as well.

We also have an experienced Independent Visitor who visits us every half term. The visitor looks at all aspects of the school, which includes talking to pupils and their parents and carers, and reporting his findings to the Governors and the Head so that the shared information can be used productively.

Training and supervision is a very important part of developing a quality provision for pupils and so the school has a wide range of up to date training provided by managers and experts outside of school.
