Farney Close is a mixed independent residential special school for children aged 9 -18 who are in receipt of an EHCP because they experience a range of special needs including social, emotional and mental health needs, Specific Learning Difficulties such as Autistic Spectrum Conditions, ADHD, Dyslexia or a range of cognitive and processing needs.

Situated on the A272 and the A23 intersection at Bolney, West Sussex, the school has an established and very successful reputation, achieving numerous outstanding and good Ofsted inspection judgements for educational and care provisions over the last decade.

The school are looking to recruit a Teacher of Science to teach the Key Stages 3 and 4 children in its care. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and dedicated and be a strong team player to work alongside our current Science Teacher. They will have a passion for working with children and a perseverance to make a difference to them and their future. The school follows the National Curriculum offering a variety of qualifications and therefore applicants will need to be flexible in their approach to ensure that they meet the individual needs of the young people at our school.

This role is subject to receipt of good employment references, health clearance and an enhanced DBS check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
