Residential Social Care Worker

Full time, permanent contract, term time.

Monday to Friday – Term time only, include 3 evenings (excluding Friday) and 4 mornings.

Salary: Between £24,779.00 p.a. and £28,662.00 p.a. depending on demonstrable skills and experience.

Sleep-in Allowance: £41.20 per sleep-in.

Attendance Allowance: Potential to earn £600.00 p.a.

Contributory Pension Scheme (subject to scheme rules)

Free on-site parking.

Free meal (lunch) subject to work pattern.

Farney Close is a mixed independent residential special school for children aged 9 -18 who are in receipt of an (EHCP) because they experience a range of special needs including social, emotional and mental health needs. Specific Learning Difficulties such as Autistic Spectrum Conditions, ADHD, Dyslexia or a range of cognitive and processing needs.

Situated on the A272 and the A23 intersection at Bolney, West Sussex, the school has an established and very successful reputation, achieving numerous outstanding and good Ofsted inspection judgements for educational and care provisions over the last decade.

Responsibilities in this role include:

· Working and supporting children and young people to create positive outcomes and promote independence.

· Direct practical interactions with children and young people including activities, cooking and engaging with the wider community.

· Planning and coordination of activities.

· Working to a high standard in line with OFSTED inspection framework requirements.

· Engage in planning, implementation and delivery of care plans.

· Working in partnership with other agencies.

· Report writing and attending reviews as required.

Experience is not essential. The school is committed to the development of people, offering continual professional development including the

opportunity to undertake Level 3 Diploma Working with Children and Young People.
