A few notes from the Principal

By February 5, 2020July 15th, 2020No Comments

Hi Everyone,

Firstly I would like to welcome Ray Lau to Farney Close. Ray started with us at the beginning of 2020 as our new Vice Principal. He is quickly settling into post and enjoying getting to know pupils and staff.  I am sure that on visits to the school you will get to meet Ray; please make yourselves known to him.

We have had a busy half term which unfortunately have seen lots of staff off with this horrible flu bug. The pupils have managed well with the change that this has brought and teaching has not been disrupted.

We are however, looking forward to the lighter nights and summer months, which enable us to make the most of being situated in such lovely surroundings.

With the academic year being nearly half way through, our year 11s are starting their exam preparation and completing outstanding course work. It is hard to accept, for them and us, that they are quickly moving to the end of their secondary schooling at Farney Close; many have been with us throughout their secondary school years. It is a really important time for both them; we look forward to supporting your child as they move onto their next venture.

Best Wishes to all parents, carers and friends of Farney Close,

Sara Hack
