On 10th and 11th September 2020, seven members of the team set themselves the challenge of cycling the South Downs Way, a trail that runs for 100 miles from Winchester in Hampshire to Eastbourne in East Sussex, with approximately 3800 metres or 12,600ft of ascent. They have named this challenge ‘The Wellesley Lockdown Escape’.
Through this amazing challenge they are hoping to raise an amazing £10,000 for Farney Close School. This fundraising effort is to support us in our efforts to open a primary provision for Years 5 and 6. We will use the funds raised by Wellesley to provide the primary school pupils with their own deidicated classroom.
We cannot thank Wellesley enough for their amazing support and wish them luck on their 100 mile cycle!
